Ben Luk is a Senior Tax Manager, specializing in inbound Canadian taxation matters. Working as the point of contact with clients, his hands-on approach promotes timely and effective communication.
Ben has assisted public and private businesses with tax planning and compliance solutions in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, real estate, entertainment, technology, and consulting industries. Ben is also adept at developing and implementing cross-border solutions, guiding inbound investors through the tax implications of carrying on business in Canada.
Ben has acted as the point of contact for over 20 cross-border mergers & acquisitions. He has advised on tax efficient business structuring, financing, repatriation, and exit strategy considerations.
Ben helps clients with a range of tax compliance matters, including the preparation of corporate, partnership, and trust returns and forms. As necessary, he is also able to provide expert assistance and representation when dealing with Canada Revenue Agency authorities.
Ben has been a presenter at MNP’s online webcasts, and a speaker at MNP’s national tax conference for several years.
Ben became a Chartered Accountant (CA) in 2010 after earning his Masters of Accountancy at the University of Waterloo. As part of his continued education, Ben has completed parts one and two of the In-depth tax course, the Foundations of International tax course and the Advance International tax course through the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountant.
