Ken is a principal in Kaufman Rossin’s tax department and leads the firm’s state and local tax practice. With more than 17 years of experience, he assists clients with his expertise in state and local tax, franchise tax, sales and use tax, as well as property tax and unclaimed property.
Before joining Kaufman Rossin in 2017, Ken was a senior tax manager and the state and local tax practice leader at Crowe Horwath LLP in Ft. Lauderdale. He also managed state and local tax consulting projects, including state tax minimization strategies, restructurings, tax simplification, sales sourcing studies, state voluntary disclosures and more.
He frequently speaks and lectures on state taxes for the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Council on State Taxation, the Tax Executives Institute, Lorman Education Services, and the Manufacturers’ Association of Florida.
Ken is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ state and local tax committee, lifetime member of the Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA) and board member of Miami’s ALPFA chapter
