Working closely with clients, Richard ensures they understand tax implications so they can strategically plan and manage their tax liability. He is a trusted advisor who builds strong relationships with clients and takes the time to research various options so he can implement the most effective solutions to their needs.
In particular, Richard has extensive experience in advising on inbound to Canada investment by non-resident corporations and individuals, and the business and tax issues they face, such as employee mobility, compliance and withholding requirements, and planning and structuring to ensure the Canadian operations operate as efficiently as possible.
Richard’s accounting knowledge and experience is an important benefit to clients and he has significant experience dealing with complex tax compliance and tax accounting issues. Fluently bilingual in English and French, he is an excellent communicator, adept at explaining complicated ideas in ways that are easy to understand.
Richard obtained his Bachelor of Commerce and Graduate Diploma in Chartered Accountancy degrees from McGill University in 2008 and 2010. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), qualifying as a Chartered Accountant (CA), and was admitted to the CPA Order of Quebec in 2011. Richard has completed Parts I, II and III of the CPA Canada’s In-Depth Tax Program.
